Hype The Private Time – Clear Living

Minimalism means less. Less unnecessary stuff, less to clean up, less baggage. But it also means more: more quality of life, more concentration, more time. However, we wouldn’t want to do without these six items – because they don’t just look good but also enrich your home.

Ligne Roset Pumpkin armchair

Ligne Roset are known for their dedicated cooperation with established and up-and-coming designers. Since their founding in 1860, the Roset family have been producing all their furniture by hand in France. The Pumpkin armchair was created in collaboration with the designer Pierre Paulin and is characteristic of his revolutionary style. Paulin moves beyond the confines of traditional furniture shapes by seeing it as a body on its own, which doesn’t necessarily have to stand on four feet. In doing so, he’s freed armchair design from its traditional constraints. As the name suggests, Pumpkin is reminiscent of a giant pumpkin with a protective shell. An armchair from which you’ll never want to get up again.

Panthella Portable Metal

A design classic to go: in 1971, Danish designer Verner Panton designed the Panthella together with Louis Poulsen. It’s a lamp with a base that serves as an additional reflecting element along with the lampshade. This idea and its organic design language made the Panthella one of the most important design icons. For the 50th anniversary, they introduced the slightly smaller Panthella Portable Metal, a portable table lamp that can be charged via a USB port. The metal lamp is available in four different powder-coated colours: white, black, orange and pale pink. It comes with a USB-C cable and has three dimming levels. Let there be light!

Linie Design Arguto rug

You won’t just want to kneel on this rug, you’ll want to lie down on it. The soft Arguto rug is made of pure hand-woven virgin wool and is as inviting as any sofa. Thanks to the large geometric shapes consisting of triangles and rectangles, the Line Design adds a Mondrian touch to your living room. The Danish design company works closely with Indian crafters, who traditionally pass their decades of carpet weaving experience on from generation to generation. Arguto is available in four colour combinations and four sizes. The biggest size will cover six square metres. Consider it a work of art for your floor.

Umbra Stax 4 in a Row

This fun game from your childhood can be just as entertaining for adults. If you love the game but have grown out of the brightly coloured plastic version from your childhood, Canadian brand Umbra might have just what you’re looking for with the Stax 4 in a Row designed by Sung Wook Park. The vertical game board looks like a sculpture, constructed of fine brass rods, and the game pieces are made of satin-finished clear or grey plastic. You certainly won’t have to hide this game in the closet, making it a centrepiece in your living room instead.

Transparent Speaker

It doesn’t get any more minimalistic than this. The Transparent Speaker from the Swedish label of the same name is an almost entirely transparent masterpiece. The housing is constructed mainly of glass panes, giving you a clear view of the internals at work. It’s an eye-catcher just because of what isn’t there. The technical details are equally impressive: compatible with Bluetooth and True Wireless, 140 W output power, 35 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response. The speakers were built to provide a clear and balanced sound – in fact, the digital sound processor was tuned by the world’s best sound professionals. This is a speaker that has something to offer even when it’s switched off.
