One for All? A backpack with a laptop compartment, enough space for your lunch bag and everyday essentials, plus extra room for sports gear or a spontaneous trip to the lake? AEVOR made versatility their mission, aiming to make our life more flexible with products like the Trip Pack. The German manufacturer strives to combine fair working conditions, top quality, functionality – all wrapped into a unique design. And the Trip Pack embodies this philosophy. With 26 liters of storage, expandable to 33 liters, it adapts to your needs. How does that work? Keep reading to find out! 🙂
Not only do AEVOR also offer the Trip Pack in a bigger Travel Pack version (38–45L), but also in 17 different color options. However, it’s not just about aesthetics – depending on the model, the materials and their properties vary as well.
Proof vs. Standard Models – What’s the Difference?
- The Proof models feature an outer shell made from 100% recycled PET bottles and a PFC-free, water-repellent coating. With a 13,000 mm water column, they offer the highest level of water resistance in AEVOR’s lineup, which makes them the optimal choice for rainy conditions. However, despite the “Proof” name, these backpacks are water-resistant rather than fully waterproof. AEVOR state that in heavy rain, moisture can still seep in through the seams and zippers.
- In contrast, standard models are made from 50% recycled PET and have a significantly lower 1,500 mm water column. While they also provide basic water resistance, they’re not suited for prolonged or heavy rain. The upside? They cost about € 20 less than the Proof version, depending on the colour.
All models use bluesign-certified materials, ensuring that harmful chemicals are minimized throughout the entire supply chain to protect both people and the environment. This reflects AEVOR’s commitment to sustainability. We took a closer look at the AEVOR Trip Pack Proof Black (€129.99) to see if it performs just as well for daily commuting as it does for a weekend bike trip. Stay tuned for our test results!

What is the AEVOR Trip Pack Proof Black Capable of?
Packed to the brim – not just with our lunch boxes and old socks, but also with features. On top of that, the AEVOR backpack impresses with a sleek design. But let’s take it one step at a time.
Hiding = Theft Protection? Admittedly, if someone steals the entire backpack, even the best hiding spot won’t help. But against pickpockets on the subway or while traveling, the hidden compartments in the bag are often worth their weight in gold. And the AEVOR Trip Pack has two of them. The first compartment is placed at the back, above the main opening – perfect for keys and a phone, as it lies directly against the back when worn and therefore cannot be opened unnoticed. The second compartment is camouflaged on the side by overlapping fabric – even we had to search for a while before we found it. Nice!
The padded 15-inch laptop compartment may be less hidden, but it keeps our work devices safely protected on the go. Inside, a mesh pocket helps keep things organized – perfect for storing snacks alongside a laptop charger. Meanwhile, an external bottle holder allows you to carry a 1-liter water bottle. On the front of the backpack, two adjustable straps make it easy to attach a jacket or even a skateboard.
On top of having several cool storage options, the AEVOR Trip Pack Proof Black is also highly durable – the material is robust and resistant. Zippers that aren’t covered by an extra fabric layer are welded and feature a water-resistant lip.

Thanks to the roll-top closure with Velcro, the AEVOR Trip Pack can be adjusted flexibly: small and compact when you only need to bring a lunch box and water to work, but also fully packed with a beach towel, swim trunks, and sunscreen for a spontaneous trip to the lake – 33 liters hold a lot of stuff. On your way to the lake, the padded back panel sits comfortably and provides noticeable relief. Even on longer rides – like the 15 km to our local pond – cycling was easy. Bumpy curbs and rough gravel paths? No problem! The adjustable chest strap ensure that the backpack stays securely in place without sliding around.
Once you get to the pond, with most backpacks you’ll have to unpack everything before you find what you’re looking for. That’s not the case with the Trip Pack, because the zipper that connects the back panel to the main compartment makes it easy to open the pack and grab what you need – though admittedly, it’s not a groundbreaking feature, as many other backpacks offer the same. Still, the duffel bag-style access adds to the convenience – nice!
Speaking of duffel bags: If you travel frequently with the Trip Pack or like to keep your belongings perfectly organized, you should check out the Travel Trunk (€ 68.90). With three mesh compartments, it keeps everything in order and saves space thanks to a compression strap – perfect for frequent travelers and anyone who likes to stay organized while packing.
